Backcountry is seeking talented Mobile Software Engineers to build the Backcountry experience across devices, while enabling new ways for our customers to discover and buy outdoor gear. Our Mobile Software Engineers work in small, empowered teams dedicated to optimizing our mobile web experience, building mobile web applications, and educating product teams across Backcountry on how to build mobile friendly features.

The Engineering Team focuses on building awesome technology that makes shopping for gear as thrilling as using it. We work in small, empowered teams that rapidly deliver features to customers, measure results and iterate. About the Job
As a Mobile Software Engineer, you will provide technical leadership in the area of mobile user interface development to solve complex mobile and cross-device problems. You will:
- Build the best user experience to delight customers. Period.
- Raise the bar. Share your ideas and experience with other engineers, and advocate for best practices, great usability and exceptional quality.
- Work with product managers to understand the customers, their requirements and design scalable solutions to thrill customers.

Does this describe you?
- Passionate, opinionated, and skilled in delivering end-to-end user experience designs
- Responsive web design is part of your definition of done
- Familiar with various web architectures, platforms, and frameworks (Bonus points for hands-on experience with frameworks such as Express.js and AngularJS)
- Experience working with APIs in an SOA environment
- Passion for test driven development, modular designs, and shipping quality code
- Prior success in implementing continuous delivery is preferred
